Window Books Information
Lisa Bowes sent me a few links to the window books website. I have added them on the right side of this web page. It really
has some very helpful information on it. I also suggest for those of you that haven't done it yet, to subscribe to her
blog. If you haven't yet gotten into blogs, what are you waiting for? The blogs today offer such great information that
if you are not subscribed to one yet, your missing out and leaving potential knowledge on the table. Business week just had
a cover story related to blogging and other funcutions of web 2.0 and how companies really need to look into this medium especially
for your employees in thier twentys.
I want to thank Lisa for sharing.

Mail.dat
Ok, so today I learned that my software is not compatiable with postal one's file requirments. I am currently using Postal
soft Desktop mailer business edition. When I spoke to postal one, they informed me of the files that I would need to present
to them, then as I tried to do this in Postal Soft. I found that I can not do delete or update files.
Sounds crazy,
I know. So I put the question out to some very knowledgable people in the industry and sure enough. It came back that what
I was told is correct. Now according to all of the documentation on the intelligent mail barcode, in order to get the lowest
possible rates. We mailing companies will need to present our files electronically. The software vendors aren't ready
for this yet and May 2009 is fast approaching.
Now I am faced with either waiting for postal soft to upgrade thier
software, purchase a different software or trying to get around this another way like having my programmer manual edit the
files. I don't even know it that is possible.
I will keep you posted.
